This Privacy Policy explains how Hiry Platforms LLC ("Hiry," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Platform.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Hiry in connection with:
Client and Freelancer accounts;
Project management, communication, and payments;
Subscriptions and billing;
Customer support and legal/compliance requests; and
Website and product analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services that have their own privacy policies (for example, payment processors and external websites linked from the Platform).

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Depending on your use of the Platform, we may collect:
Account and profile information (name, email, phone, username, company name, role, profile details);
Identity and verification information (government ID, tax details, business information, beneficial ownership information, and similar compliance records where required);
Payment and billing information (billing details, transaction amounts, invoice data, subscription status; payment card details are generally processed by our payment providers);
Project and communication information (proposals, deliverables, messages, files, milestones, and instructions);
Customer support communications and legal/privacy requests (including account export or deletion requests); and
Any other content you submit to the Platform.

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect:
Device and connection information (IP address, browser type, OS, device identifiers);
Usage data (pages viewed, clicks, session duration, feature interactions, referral URLs);
Log and diagnostic data (errors, crash events, performance metrics, security logs); and
Cookie and similar technology data, subject to your browser/device settings and applicable consent requirements.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from:
Payment and payout providers (including Stripe and Stripe Connect);
Identity verification, fraud prevention, and compliance vendors;
Analytics and infrastructure vendors; and
Other users where relevant to a Project or dispute.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform;
Create and manage accounts, profiles, Projects, and Subscriptions;
Process invoices, payments, refunds (where applicable), and payouts;
Verify identity, perform compliance checks, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms;
Communicate with you about your account, Projects, billing, updates, and support;
Improve, debug, monitor, and secure the Platform;
Personalize user experience and product features;
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Required)
Depending on your jurisdiction, we process personal information based on:
Performance of a contract (for account services, Projects, and billing);
Legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement, business operations);
Legal obligations (tax, compliance, law enforcement response, sanctions screening); and
Consent (where legally required, including certain cookies/marketing activities).
5. How We Share Information
We may share personal information with:
Other users, as necessary to support Platform interactions (for example, Client-Freelancer collaboration);
Service providers and vendors (hosting, analytics, support, identity verification, payment and payout providers);
Professional advisors (auditors, lawyers, insurers);
Government agencies, regulators, courts, and law enforcement when required or legally permitted;
Parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale; and
Others with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. If applicable law uses a broader definition of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising, users may have opt-out rights as described in Section 10.
6. Payments and Financial Data
Payments and payouts are processed through third-party providers, including Stripe and Stripe Connect.
Hiry generally does not store full payment card numbers.
Financial transaction records, payout records, and billing history may be retained for accounting, legal, tax, and dispute purposes.
Your use of payment services is also governed by the payment provider's terms and privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Provide the Platform and fulfill our contractual obligations;
Maintain business and financial records;
Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements;
Resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and prevent fraud; and
Support security monitoring and incident response.
Retention periods may vary by data type, user role, and legal obligations. When no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or de-identify data where feasible.

Hiry and its vendors may process personal information in jurisdictions other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections and security controls.

You can opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. We may still send transactional or service-related communications (for example, billing notices, account security alerts, or legal notices).
12. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrations. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices. Review third-party privacy policies before submitting information to those services.
